Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg seem to be wrapping up their joint album, Missionary.
During a recent interview with Michelle Turner of Entertainment Tonight, the legendary producer said he’s currently in the mixing process for the project. While there are a few songs left to be completed, he hinted a potential November release for the album.
“I wanted 14 songs, [but] Snoop wants 16. So, we have that thing happening,” he said.
“I’m on song number 11 as far as the mixes go. I have to [have them] done and delivered by September 1st to have a November release.”
Diving a bit deeper into the album, Dr. Dre also revealed that Sting of the Police has contributed to the project.
“There’s a song…we have Sting on the song. Man, [there’s] an amazing roster of artists on this album,” Dr. Dre continued.
“I shouldn’t have revealed that, to be honest.”
Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg have worked together for more than 30 years, putting out songs like “Deep Cover” and albums like Doggystyle together. However, Dr. Dre says this project will display a “different level of maturity.”
“This one’s gonna show a different level of maturity with his lyrics and with my music,” he explained.
“I feel like this is some of the best music I’ve done in my career.”
