Often, societal pressures implore us to have life figured out at a young age. Images of young CEOs, Hollywood stars in their 20s and teenage athletic phenoms are pumped into advertisements and social media timelines, leaving many people unsure about themselves because they don’t have it all figured out at 23. Fortunately, there are a few people that are able to buck that trend and show people a different path to success. For example, Matthew Stafford just picked up his first Super Bowl ring after playing in the NFL for more than a decade and actor Jonathan Majors didn’t fully break out as a star actor until his early 30s. Elsewhere, a man by the name of Donovan Woods in Toronto is showing other artists that they can succeed at any point in time.
Donovan Woods has been working on his solo music career since 2007. However, he didn’t win his first Juno Award until 2019. Now, Woods is 42 years old and is touring around North America while putting out some of the best music of his career.
Recently, Woods delivered a six-track project by the name of Big Hurt Boy. His emotionally endearing lyrics and mellow soundscapes create a peaceful listening experience throughout. Celebrating the release of his incredible project, Donovan Woods caught up with Ralph to deliver a live performance of “Leave When You Go.”
