Former President Donald Trump will testify in a New York courtroom on December 11, 2023, according to CBS News. Additionally, the former President’s son, Eric, is expected to testify in a New York courtroom on December 6, 2023.
The former President testified in court once before on November 6, 2023. Trump was questioned in connection to a $250 million civil lawsuit filed by New York Attorney General Letitia James. The New York Attorney General has accused the former President, two of his sons and several of his associates of engaging in a multi-year fraud scheme that inflated the value of his assets and allowed him to receive better loan and insurance terms.
The $250 million fraud case in New York is one of two cases the former President is battling in New York. Former magazine columnist E. Jean Carroll has filed a lawsuit in the Empire State under the New York Adult Survivors Act, accusing the former President of sexual assault. Additionally, Trump is being met with an election interference lawsuits in Georgia and the District of Columbia.
