We The Best!
DJ Khaled is embarking on his 8th studio album, ‘I Changed A Lot’. The road leading up to this album started back in April of 2014 with the release of the star studded, ‘They Don’t Love You No More’ which featured JAY Z, Meek Mill, Rick Ross and French Montana. The single had high hopes as it then was accompanied by a supporting visual. Shortly after in August ’14, Khaled followed up the record with the radio smash hit ‘Hold You Down’ along with the visual featuring the cast of Chris Brown, August Alsina, Future & Jeremih. He had one with this song and of course fans looked forward to the album ‘I Changed A Lot’.
Three months later, ‘Hold You Down’ was such a success he then hit us with a remix that featured the likes of Usher, Rick Ross, Fabolous and Ace Hood. He totally switched up the entire roster from the original & that was a dope move on his part.
With no word on when the project will drop, things went relatively cold turkey in terms of the album until May 11, 2015 when the radio hit ‘How Many Times’ with Chris Brown, Lil Wayne & Big Sean dropped. Now many would wonder why the long delay with the album and follow up single? Well Khaled would eventually make noise in other endeavors. That would be him being apart of the 3 chosen (DJ Khaled, DJ Premier, DJ Mustard) to orchestrate the soundtrack for NBA 2K16. I would put my album on hold for a bit as well if I had this opportunity.
With all that now out the way, Columbus Day served as an unofficial day of celebration in a sense as Khaled showed just how well connected his is in the industry with dropping not just two records but two videos as well for ‘Gold Slugs’ featuring Chris Brown, August Alsina and Fetty Wap then ‘You Mine’ which features Trey Songz, Jeremih & Future. We can’t forget the DJ Funk Flex premiered ‘I Don’t Play About My Paper’ that dropped too yesterday featuring Future & Rick Ross.
‘I Changed A Lot’ is certainly a star studded affair and with it set to drop this October 23, 2015 the pre-order is officially available on iTunes so make sure you purchase that. Check out below the official tracklist for both the regular and deluxe version.
