Disney+ is the most talked about streaming service that isn’t even available yet. Set to be released in the near future, the Disney streaming service is rumored to be developing an exciting slate of Marvel related content. However, the streaming service is aiming to be a bit more than the home of Hawkeye, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones scripted series. Disney is aiming to produce a boat load of content that will rival Netflix, NBC, HBO Now and any other major streaming platform. This week, Disney took another major step forward in cementing itself among the top streaming providers.
Disney announced earlier this week that it had an exciting slate of non-fiction series lined up for its streaming service, Disney+. Most notably, Disney has inked a deal with the documentary collective, Supper Club. Under the two year agreement, the documentary specialists will create concept based and franchise based content for Disney+ and other Disney outlets. In addition, Angela Kinsey of The Office will host her own show called Be Our Chef. The new series will chronicle diverse families competing in a Disney inspired cooking competition. Other series include Shop Class, Rogue Trip, Cinema Relics, Reconnect, Encore and more.
