“I’ll try to do four, maybe more [fights],” Dillon Danis told Ariel Helwani about his plans for the new year.
“When I come back to MMA, I’m going to run through them fast, two fast submissions. I have two more fights left with Bellator, so you never know what will happen.”
Less than a full week into the new year, Danis has reportedly endured his first setback. KSI’s manager, Mams Taylor, has reportedly been told that Danis has pulled out of an upcoming boxing match with the YouTube sensation. At this time, Danis nor his team have provided a public statement regarding the matter. However, Taylor has already offered his own thoughts as to why Danis would pull out of the fight.
“The real reason from what they [his team] said to me is he’s underprepared, has no coach, might be struggling with weight even though there’s no rehydration, he has not been able to find a team and he’s got other issues,” Taylor said.
Danis and KSI were scheduled to fight on January 14, 2023 at OVO Arena Wembley in London, England. KSI still hopes to fight on January 14, but it is unclear who his opponent will be.
