Fresh off of his last release, DEVN has returned with the cinematic visuals for his new single, “Wild.” As the song’s soulful lyrics convey, DEVN is more than infatuated with a beautiful woman. However, things don’t go according to plan in the short film. Just moments after DEVN and the beautiful Black actress get intimate, things take a turn for the worse. Unfortunately, that’s all that can be said without giving the premise of the video away.
“I wanted to capture that feeling on this record. I was inspired by patterns that I observed in relationships, whether that be my own or someone else’s. We all experience that moment of obsession and I wanted to play with that idea,” he said about his new video.
Beyond the release of the “Wild” video, DEVN is also preparing for the release of the deluxe edition of his latest project, St. Luke St. Building off of the eight tracks that were released in 2021, St. Luke St.’s deluxe edition will include three new tracks. Set for release on September 9, 2022, the Dreamville collaborator’s newest release will arrive alongside Ari Lennox’s sophomore album, age/sex/location.
