Boston has been searching the market for a ball-moving guard to support Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown in the court. In his secondary role, behind All-Star Dejounte Murray, White is second in assists for the Spurs with 5.6 assists per game, which is more than the Celtics leader in Marcus Smart with 5.4 per game.
The Spurs get a good defender in Richardson and hopefully, he can get some consistency in San Antonio as he has bounced around the league since he was traded by the Heat. Langford is a young guard with the potential and the important aspect of the trade: the first-round pick.
The Spurs are currently in the 13th seed of the Western Conference and are building for the future.
