Revisiting his summer 2018 album Ta13oo, Denzel Curry releases hypnagogic visuals to Black Balloons featuring Goldlink and Twelve’len.
Beginning with Denzel Curry facing a record label executive informing him of future riches, all he as to do is sign. “I can do anything for you Denzel” the mysterious man exclaims as a visually hesitant Denzel Curry contemplates grabbing the pen. Promised wealth and fame, Denzel Curry signs the contract, opening a portal into the surreal music industry.
In the dream-like, alternate reality, Curry reaches a world fulfilling the promise however everything is not as seems. Surrounded by beautiful women, drugs and nice cars, Curry somehow ends up behind bars, painted like a clown.
Directed by Zev Deans, the color video exists as a prequel detailing the rapper’s come up before the transformation into the dark, depressed Clout Cobain. Denzel Curry’s visuals for Black Balloons enlist the talents of Wes Hager as producer with the concept created by Deans, Curry and Mark Maturah.
Currently, Denzel Curry prepares to trek across the world on the ‘Denzel Curry Live’ tour. Watch the video below:
