DeMarcus Cousins doesn’t believe that he needs basketball shoes on to be the best big man in the NBA. In fact, he’d be the world’s best big man in sandals:

Confidence is not something that Cousins lacks. Cousins has called himself the league’s most dominant big man, and this summer told Def Pen that he believes himself to be among the most dominant players in the world.
Cousins backs up his talk with his play. This season for the Kings, the two-time All-Star is averaging a career-high 29.1 points to go with 10.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. Cousins has also evolved into a major outside threat, putting up career-highs in three-point attempts (4.7 per game) and percentage (38.3%).
Cousins recently praised Joel Embiid by saying that he can be the best big man in the NBA… After Cousins retires of course.
