DAZN has reportedly locked in a new multi-year deal with Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions. Under the agreement, Golden Boy Promotions’ biggest stars like Ryan Garcia and Jaime Mungia will continue to fight on DAZN as the company rolls out its Golden Boy Fight Night series.
“We are delighted to extend our partnership with Golden Boy,” Ed Breeze of DAZN told Boxing Scene.
“Golden Boy has an excellent stable including some of the hottest prospects in boxing, and their shows always feature non-stop action from the first bell to the last.”
In addition to announcing the deal, DAZN and Golden Boy Promotions have announced that Jaime Mungia will return to fight Jimmy Kelly on June 11, 2022. Meanwhile, Ryan Garcia will look to return to the ring in July. Many thought that Garcia would fight Isaac Cruz, but it appears that Golden Boy may look elsewhere for an opponent. Other Golden Boy Promotions’ stars like Seniesa ‘Superbad’ Estrada and Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez are currently awaiting their next date in the ring.
