Dave East and Vado have been working hard in 2018. After releasing a freestyle over Tory Lanez’s “Hate to Say” and Three Six Mafia’s “Who Run It”, the two New York rappers have linked up on Drake’s “Nice For What”. The two trade bars over the Lauryn Hill bounce beat for nearly four minutes. Vado opens up the collaboration rapping, “Shout all my ex’s/Get your brag on/Your Chanel, Your Celine/Mean bag on/Get your swag on/If he don’t act right/I’m gonna act wrong/Cause’ you were the type to put me back on.” Dave East then continues the record by rapping, “If we’re talking about women/I keep a bad one/You can’t relate if you never had one/She told me you were acting ‘lightskin’/We just be f*ckin/I can’t be wifin’.”
In addition to collaborating with Vado, Dave East took the time to put a solo verse over Wale’s “It’s Complicated”. Earlier this year, East put out the sequel to Paranoia with features from Tory Lanez, T.I. Lloyd Banks and Marsha Ambrosius. Dave East is also highlighted alongside his mentor, Nas, on the new Netflix series, Rapture. In the meantime, say tuned for more new material from the two Harlem emcees.
