Last night on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert‘, Daniel Craig while promoting his new film ‘Logan Lucky’ took a second to address the rumors in regard to his future with the James Bond franchise. After Colbert proclaimed that Craig was the best bond ever he gracefully transitioned into a simple question. Asking Craig, point blank if he was going to return to the role of James Bond. He responded with a concise “Yes”. Craig continued on by stating that any confusion he may have caused in regard to his return to the role was mainly due to exhaustion. The actor gave an interview two days after he had finished working on ‘Spectre’ where he stated that he’d ‘rather slash his wrists‘ than play Bond again. He also confirmed that this will, in fact, be his last appearance as James Bond and wants to send the character off on a “high note”. It’s bittersweet, but refreshing to hear that he’s jazzed to be playing the character one last time.
