Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s own Dan Trachtenberg will soon call Hawkins, Indiana home. Netflix has reportedly enlisted the 10 Cloverfield Lane director to lead an episode of Stranger Things during its fifth season.
“There’s no word yet on which episode the director will helm, but he’s an eminently qualified set of hands,” an article from Netflix reads.
“The Stranger Things writing team began working on the show’s final season in August 2022, and back in Nov. 2022, they gave us a tantalizing hint about the Upside Down’s epic conclusion.”
Trachtenberg is primarily known to audiences for his work on the aforementioned 10 Cloverfield Lane and 2022’s Prey. In the realm of television, he’s directed episodes of The Boys and The Lost Symbol. Not to be forgotten, he previously worked with Netflix for an episode of Black Mirror in 2018.
