Mason Plumlee didn’t light up the box score too often and he really wasn’t that much of a player to speak out on topics. He just did a bunch of things pretty good and he’s made the most out of his time in the NBA. But for the third year in a row, Plumlee has been traded. But this time, as he’s being sent to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for Jusuf Nurkic and first round pick, it’s a little different than before.
When he was dealt from the Brooklyn Nets to the Portland Trail Blazers, it was for the Nets to secure a draft pick. His time in Brooklyn wasn’t too memorable outside of his plane rides with Kevin Garnett. But his time on the Portland Trail Blazers was much of the same. A solid player contributing some solid minutes on a playoff contender. But to his teammates, he was more than that. Blazers all-star guard Damian Lillard touted Plumlees as ‘one of his favorite teammates’ he’s ever played with.
