Damian Lillard has had great success in the NBA thus far since being drafted out of Weber State. He won Rookie of the Year, and has been named to the All-Star team twice in his 3-year career. For his career he has averaged 20.2 points, 6.1 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game.
He’s been in Portland for his entire career, and wants to stay there, despite the risk of losing LaMarcus Aldridge and Robin Lopez.
From Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports:
Damian Lillard has agreed to a five-year, $120 million maximum contract extension with the Blazers, a source told Yahoo Sports.

The Blazers have signed a couple of free agents to help Lillard(Ed Davis and Al-Farouq Aminu).
If all goes well for Portland, they’ll re-sign Aldridge and Lopez, and come back next season with a similar team to this year’s, but with an upgraded bench. However, the threat of losing Aldridge and Lopez is very real. It would come as a bit of a surprise at this point if LaMarcus Aldridge returned to the Blazers.
Several teams other than Portland are in the hunt for Aldridge, such as the Lakers, the Suns, the Heat, the Spurs, and the Rockets.
