CyHi is ready to return! Four years after the release of his debut album, the Atlanta native has announced that his sophomore album, The Story of EGOT, will be released this summer. However, the good news does not end there. In addition to releasing The Story of EGOT, CyHi has entered into a joint venture with Empire Records called EGOT Records. According to a press release, the venture will allow “music’s secret weapon” to transform into an “assassin, coming for the industry.”
“I want to thank all my fans [and] supporters for their patience. I’ve endured a lot throughout my life and career, and due to the ongoing encouragement I’ve received from everyone, I’ve decided to release my sophomore album, The Story Of EGOT, this summer.”
“I want to say thank you to Empire for their partnership and belief in my vision. So just sit back, grab your popcorn and enjoy!”
CyHi has been a fixture in music for more than a decade. Not only did he release his debut album in 2018, but he’s also contributed to a number of key hits in the G.O.O.D Music discography. Also, he was one of the first major artists to appear on a Jack Harlow project and he’s got records with everyone from Donald “Childish Gambino” Glover to Raekwon. Now, he looks to make a name for himself as a solo artist with his own label.
