This Friday, music will rejoice. As the summer season nears, we have arrived at our first week of major summer releases. After a relatively quiet spring release schedule, DJ Khaled, Megan Thee Stallion and Tyler, The Creator have all dropped new star studded projects. Not to mention, Wu-Tang Clan also gifted us a new project to celebrate their new documentary on Showtime. While it may be easy to lose sight of, Curren$y and Statik Selektah have just dropped one of the best projects of the week, Gran Turismo.
The rapper and producer combo have come together to release a joint project called Gran Turismo. The new body of work features artists like Jadakiss, Wiz Khalifa, YBN Cordae, Jim Jones and others. Gran Turismo serves as the follow-up to Statik Selektah’s April 2019 project with Bun B that features Talib Kweli, Big K.R.I.T and others. Following in the footsteps of that project, Gran Turismo is purely entertaining and maintains a solid balance between the big DJ Khaled records that will be on the radio all summer.
