‘Creed’ was one of the biggest surprises of 2015. The film did not only exceed financial expectations but managed to be critically revered as well. The original was helmed by none other than Ryan Coogler who recently led ‘Black Panther‘ to record-breaking critical and financial success as well. However, Coogler will only be serving as an executive producer this time around while Steven Caple Jr. will take over as the director.
Michael B. Jordan will reprise his role as Creed in a story that pits him vs the son of Rocky’s and ultimately, his fathers arch nemesis, Ivan Drago. For those who are unaware, Drago killed Apollo’s father in ‘Rocky IV’. Which makes the reunion between everyone involved that much more complex. Other than the seemingly predetermined conflict between Creed and Drago’s sons, not much more is known about the plot of the film at this point in time.
