First announced last year, Selena: The Series will release in two parts, with the first due out sometime next year. Alongside Serratos, Noemi Gonzalez has been cast as Selena’s sister Suzette while Seidy Lopez is set to portray their mother. The series has also cast Ricardo Chavira and Gabriel Chavarria in lead roles. Madison Taylor Baez is set to play a younger version of Selena.
Sadly, no plot details have come out yet on what to expect from the series’ two parts. But, the first part will apparently chronicle the Queen of Tejano music’s rise to the top. The teaser doesn’t share too much when it comes to the plot, though we do get a quick look at Lopez as Selena’s mother and Baez as a young Selena.
