Days away from the release of Chris Patrick’s latest project, X-Files, the New Jersey artist has delivered the highly-anticipated single. As expected, it delivers a melodic, upbeat feel that is only amplified by the addictive vocals of Erykah Officer. Midway through the single, Erykah Officer offers a response to Chris Patrick’s central question.
“I can admit I was trippin’. I should’ve gave you permission. [I should’ve] gave you the business. How could I let clout cloud my vision,” Eryka Officer asks.
“[I acted] like I’m too cool for commitment. That’s all I want.”
“Lead Me On” serves as the perfect segue into X-Files. Recently, the rising star shared the album with a few close friends and fans in Los Angles and the reception was great to say the least.
“That sh*t sounds crazy,” one fan by the name of Candace said after the listening session.
“That n*gga has dance songs on there. The n*gga got crying songs on there. That n*gga said he might kill himself.”
