Thomas has been killing it in the G-League with the Grand Rapids Gold, the Denver Nuggets affiliate. In the past week, he played three games and averaged 41.3 points and 6.3 assists per game. On Saturday, he went for 46 points for the most points by any player in the current season.

This is his third opportunity to play in the league on a 10-day contract, the other two were with the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks playing five games total.
Currently, the Hornets are struggling. The team has lost 11 of their last 13 games and plummeted to the tenth seed of the Eastern Conference. Thomas will arrive to back up All-Star point guard LaMello Ball and prove he deserves a deal for the remainder of the season.
