Casanova is back with brand new music. This time around, the New York native has a new track called “So Brooklyn” with Fabolous. Casanova teased the track earlier today with an Instagram post and caption that read, “I’m just representing for the borough though!”
As expected, the record has a gritty, New York vibe. In addition, the song comes in with the classic, “Brooklyn, Brooklyn” chant.
Opening the song, Casanova raps, “I’m so Brooklyn. I should get paid for the work I put in. I liked that n*gga chain, so you know I took it. I’m so Brooklyn. I did the same thing walking out of bookings. I’m so Brooklyn. I had to sign with Jay. Yo, Hov. Good looking.”
Fabolous raps, “I’m so Brooklyn. I need a vacation for all the work I put in. I’m so Brooklyn. We needed opportunities, so we took them. I’m so Brooklyn. We pop out with the tools at your house, call me Bookman. I’m so Brooklyn and if you don’t know, now you know.”
Outside of the studio, Casanova has also been making power moves. As previously mentioned, he inked a deal with Jay-Z. In addition, he recently sat down with Congresswoman Yvette D. Clark to discuss community reform. The Brooklyn rapper is everything he said he was and he’s making a difference.
