Jose Calderon has not yet played a game with the Chicago Bulls but he’s already gone. The sharpshooting point guard was on the New York Knicks last season, he was included in the Derrick Rose deal and sent to Chicago. Less than a month later, Calderon is on his 3rd NBA team.
He will join the Los Angeles Lakers and presumably be a backup to D’angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson.

And from Mike Bresnahan of TWC Sportsnet.
Lakers will get two future 2nd-round picks from Chicago while giving up rights to an undetermined player (someone likely drafted long ago.)

For the Lakers, they make out by absorbing a contract and getting a draft pick in the process. That’s the real get for the Lakers, the draft pick. It might not be the best but there are the occasional gems in the second round. Also, by acquiring Calderon, the Lakers get a spot up three-point shooter and a veteran for their bench.
