As of this week, the Milwaukee Bucks were the final team with an open spot at general manager. They lost their general manager John Hammond to the Orlando Magic and the Denver Nuggets locked in their executives to prevent them from leaving. They seemingly only had two options with one week remaining before the 2017 NBA Draft, either wait to see what happens with Cleveland Cavaliers general manager David Griffin or hire from within.
All eyes were pointing to assistant general manager Justin Zanik, but in what appears to be a last-minute change of heart, they are going with Director of Basketball Operations Jon Horst as their new general manager.
Following comes from Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical and Marc Stein of ESPN.
