Bruce Willis is the latest aging action star looking to tap into the late in career action film renaissance pioneered by the great Liam Neeson. Many older actors have tried to emulate the Neeson formula to less than stellar results. ‘Death Wish’ is slightly different case than the standard Taken ripoffs though, with the film being a remake of a 1970’s cult classic. The film follows the devolution of Willis’s character after a family tragedy which drives him to become a straight up murdering vigilante. The trailer shows Willis ruthlessly murdering people who seem to be vaguely up to no good. Whether or not the film will elaborate upon the characters Willis is icing in the trailer is yet to be seen but with director Eli Roth (Hostel,The Green Inferno) behind the camera we can guarantee some particularly gruesome kills. Let’s hope that this film goes ‘The Punisher’ route and actually provides ample reasoning behind the vigilantism portrayed in the film opposed to the trumpian like logic portrayed in the trailer. We’ve attached the official synopsis and trailer below.
