After dominating the box office last week with over $80 million, Venom stays on top, adding another $35 million to its domestic total. With the $234 million from overseas, Venom‘s total worldwide gross is now over $375 million.
Coming in second again this week, A Star is Born continues a strong performance by adding another $28 million to bring its total over $90 million stateside.
First Man comes in third with $16.5 million in its debut. The Ryan Gosling-led Neil Armstrong biopic is earning praise from critics but that excitement didn’t translate into box office numbers as the film performed below insider expectations.
Rounding out the top five, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween earned $16 million in its debut while Smallfoot pulled in just under $10 million in its third week.
Notably absent from the top five, Bad Times at the El Royale performed well below expectations in its debut, pulling in only $7.2 million, good for seventh overall.
