After smashing franchise records with $77.5 million last week, Halloween stayed on top this week. It added $32 million to push its domestic haul over $125 million. The rest of the top 5 this week looks suspiciously familiar.
Coming in second again, A Star is Born continued its Oscar push with $14.1 million. Pushing its total to $148 million. And third again was Venom with just over $10 million. That puts it’s total stateside to $187 million.
By far the biggest surprise, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween stayed in fourth with $7.5 million. Giving it a respectable $38.3 million total. Newcomer Hunter Killer rounds out the top 5 in its first week with just over $6.5 million, less than the $7-9 million insiders expected.
It’s been a light week for new movies so the rest of the top ten is mostly similar to last week’s. mid90s was the only other movie new to the top 10. Jonah Hill’s directorial debut jumped to a $3.3 million total this week in a wider release after pulling in about 300k last weekend in its first week.
