‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ begins its way down the box office list. The film, which spent the last two weeks on top, earned another $10.9 million. Don’t feel too bad for Mr. Grey though as its global total now tops off at $486.2 million.
Everyone’s favorite animated sponge is still bringing in the (sand)dollars. ‘The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water’ earned $11.2 million in its fourth week of release.
Rounding out the top five is the only other new release this weekend. Olivia Wilde’s horrific thriller, ‘The Lazarus Effect’, earned $10.6 million.
Next week ‘Focus’ looks to keep the top spot away from Vince Vaughn’s comedy ‘Unfinished Business’ and Judi Dench’s ‘Second Best Marigold Hotel’.
