Triller is all in on creating live content. Over the last few months, the content-driven app has hosted a boxing exhibition headlined by Mike Tyson, inked a deal with Verzuz and organized the Jake Paul-Ben Askren boxing event. Moving forward, the company is looking to venture into the world of basketball through the Big3.
Led by Oshea “Ice Cube” Jackson, the Big3 has signed a media rights deal with Triller. Through this deal, Triller will help put together the league’s first all-star game and host this year’s draft. This deal also opens the door for signage opportunities across Viacom platforms connected to the Big3.
“There’s nothing as fun and fast in sports as Big3 basketball, and once you watch one game, you’ll be hooked,” Triller CEO Ryan Kavanaugh said.
“We are excited to partner with Ice Cube and the Big3 organization to bring this exciting and growing sport to Triller audiences around the world.”
The 2021 season is set to kick off with the Big3 draft on June 14.
