Election Day is still months away, but the steady stream of major poll updates continues. This week, President Joe Biden narrowly edged out former President Donald Trump in the latest FOX News poll. However, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis both lead the President in a potential general election, according to the latest FOX News poll. With that said, Trump still leads all competitors by at least 47% in the race for the GOP nomination, according to FOX News.
All polling provided by FOX News points toward second showdown between Biden and Trump. Furthermore, the network’s poll indicates that more American voters would feel the need to go to the polls if those two candidates meet in November. Eighty percent of voters said that it would be “extremely important” to vote in 2024 if President Joe Biden and Donald Trump were the two leading candidates on the ballot. In comparison, less than 68% of voters said that it would be “extremely important” to vote in 2024 if Biden went head-to-head with Haley or DeSantis.
The latest round of FOX News polling arrives at a point of change in the 2024 race. Will Hurd recently dropped out of the race while Robert F. Kennedy Jr. cut ties with the Democratic Party and decided to run as an Independent. Moving forward, Republican candidates are expected to meet in Florida for a third debate and the Republican Iowa caucuses inch closer as 2023 comes to an end.
