In true Beyonce fashion, the one and only Queen Bey knows how to come back on top as if she had never left. Previously releasing her self-tilted album in December 2013, fans have been more than eager for Beyonce’s return and that anticipation only went higher with the release of her ‘Formation’ record. Now, after being the center of all conversation merely a few days ago thanks to her new LEMONADE album and accompanying album-movie, fans are out in massive numbers as they take to Tidal, iTunes, and Amazon to stream and purchase the album. While still being relatively early, LEMONADE currently sits at No. 1 on iTunes’ main chart and is being projected to make a more than impressive debut next week, according to Hits Daily Double.
A source at Sony says the company expects first-day sales to hit 200k. Early reads say the album could do between 500k-600k first week. Could it go higher?
Physical product is due on 5/6. Tidal will have a permanent exclusive on the streaming front. There is, sources say, no plan to take the album wide on that platform.
Simply put, the world loves themselves some Beyonce. Perfecting the formula of letting the art speak for itself, the momentum only goes up from there as Beyonce is set to kick off her “Formation World Tour” this week. It’s Beyonce’s world and we’re simply living in it.
