Two years ago, R&B fans fell in love North London native Bellah and her four-track EP, In The Meantime. Serving as the follow-up to her debut album, Last Train Home, the 2020 release showcased the sincerity of her voice and her endless potential. Two years later, it appears that Bellah is back and better than ever.
One week after sharing the single, Bellah has returned with the “Prototype” visuals. In the Ray Fiasco production, the rising singer steps into the lab and illustrates how she’s upgraded over time. As she puts it, her past significant others and former friends only met the “prototype” of who she’s going to be.
“I know you think I did you wrong/But the old me that you knew Dead and gone/You’re in love with the prototype,” she sings.
“New drop, new season/You still blow my line up for the re-up/If love was currency there ain’t no refunds/Need to find yourself a new plug.”
Bellah hopped into the studio at only 10 years old and has been working on her craft ever since. Still, she’s shown that she has more room to grow. For fans, that’s the best part about it. Check out her latest single, “Prototype,” below.
