Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny has tested positive for the coronavirus. The news comes hours after he was forced to cancel his highly anticipated performance at the 2020 American Music Awards. Despite his absence, he still managed to walk away with “Favorite Latin Album” and “Favorite Latin Male Artist” honors.
“To all my fans, to all the people who support me and listen to my music, I do it all for you,” he said as he accepted his award virtually.
“Latinos are ruling the world. I love you all so much.”
The COVID-19 pandemic has hurt all corners of the world including the music industry. Most recently, Jeremih has been battling the virus. After days of fighting off COVID-19, he was able to leave the ICU.
“Please if you can take a second to pray for my friend Jeremih, he is like a brother to me and he’s ill right now,” Chance the Rapper tweeted.
At this time, it is unclear when Jeremih may be able to leave the hospital. As for Bad Bunny, it is unclear if he is experiencing any symptoms at this time.
