After starring in 2018 hit Crazy Rich Asians and blockbuster reboot Oceans 8, Awkwafina and Ike Barinholtz (Blockers) have signed on to star in Crime After Crime, produced by STXfilms.
The film will follow a millennial podcast host(Awkwafina) who agrees to help the convict(Barinholtz) she’s devoted her based on a true story podcast to in order to prove his innocence after he escapes jail and surprises her with an unplanned visit.
Awkwafina adds to her packed schedule as she can be seen in another blockbuster with the sequel of 2017’s Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle whereas Barinholtz will be apart of Amazon’s Late Night and the highly anticipated Jordan Peele hosted The Twilight Zone.
