Top 2023 recruit and quarterback Arch Manning has announced he has committed to the Texas Longhorns. He is the grandson of former NFL quarterback Archie Manning and nephew of former NFL quarterbacks Eli and Peyton Manning. While every program in the NCAA was interested in him he ultimately committed to the Texas Longhorns over the Alabama Crimson Tide, Clemson Tigers, LSU Tigers, and Georgia Bulldogs. Manning has long been considered the top 2023 prospect and is also viewed as a generational quarterback prospect. The next member of the Manning family is heading into college football with major NFL aspirations.

Arch Manning has all the tools to be a top college and NFL quarterback paired with the mentorship of three NFL quarterbacks in his family. His grandfather, uncles, and father Cooper Manning have all been heavily involved in his high school career and college recruiting process. The Longhorns have a long and proud football history that has faltered significantly in recent history. Can the generational quarterback prospect truly bring Texas football back to the top of college football?

The Texas Longhorns will have plenty of talent as always to pair with their quarterback but wins determine the success of a program. While college provides a chance to improve, Arch Manning will be focused on doing what is needed to get to the NFL. He is currently projected to be a top ten selection in whichever NFL Draft he decides to enter. For now, the next Manning is heading to the Texas Longhorns and will likely be their first starting quarterback in the SEC.
