Actor Anthony Mackie is reportedly set to become one of the most important superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic University. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Mackie will play the role of Captain America in the upcoming Captain America film. He recently fulfilled the role in Disney+’s The Falcon And The Winter Soldier.
Not too much is known about the next Captain America film, but there are a few details out there. Malcolm Spellman is set to write the script for the film. Spellman and Mackie previously worked together on The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Spellman has also worked on Truth Be Told starring Octavia Spencer, Empire and FX’s documentary series, Hip-Hop Uncovered. Joining Spellman, Dalan Musson will also help with writing the film. Much like Spellman, Musson also worked on The Falcon And the Winter Soldier starring Mackie.
The next Captain America movie will not be released for some time. In the meantime, Marvel and Disney will work on rolling out Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and the Eternals.
