Election day is not only the biggest day of the year in the political realm, but it’s also one of the biggest days of the year for television. Across all major networks, correspondents and anchors will be doing marathon shifts as they hope to cover all angles of the 2020 election cycle.
Stepping in to the election cycle, BET is bringing out the big guns for tonight’s coverage. CNN’s Angela Rye will co-host special election coverage alongside former Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum.
“Join Angela Rye and I live from Washington, D.C. for an Election Night to remember. You’ll hear from some of the leading voices of our time as we await the results and begin the discussion about what’s next for U.S. We’re putting people back at the center of the conversation. Join us,” Gillum said.
Historically, significant elections deserve historically, significant coverage,” Rye added.
Rye and Gillum will kick off their coverage at 5 p.m. tonight on BET and their various streaming platforms.
