Roberson, who has been with the Thunder for all four years of his NBA career, has made his mark as an elite perimeter defender. While his shooting has been oft-discussed and is a legitimate limitation, Roberson makes up for it on the other end of the floor.
The small forward will rejoin Russell Westbrook and new additions Paul George and Patrick Patterson as the Thunder as they hope to improve on their season last year. Roberson’s defense will be a key component of a team that is looking to be long and high energy on that side of the floor. He will likely continue being tasked with guarding the opponents’ best perimeter players, leaving Westbrook and George with the energy to carry the team on offense.
