Gee spent the previous season in New Orleans, putting up 4.5 points and 3.4 rebounds per game in 22 minutes of playing time. His relative health made him a big part of a Pelicans’ team hurt by injuries all year long.
Gee is nothing more than a depth piece for the Pelicans. He brings athleticism and energy off the bench. New Orleans does not have a ton of talent across its roster so bringing in a valuable depth piece in Alonzo Gee is a smart move.
The Pelicans have had a solid offseason. They re-signed another wing depth piece in Tim Frazier. They also added Langston Galloway, Solomon Hill, and Terrence Jones. It has been a busy summer for the Pelicans as they attempt to get back to the playoffs once again.
