Upon the arrival of the news of Kevin Spacey being accused of multiple counts of sexual misconduct many were left wondering what would happen to his films that were completed and due for release, the first of which being ‘All The Money In The World’. Ridley Scott and the producers of the film made the bold decision to recast Spacey and keep the release date of the film intact. This has never been done before in the history of film, which makes this a watershed moment of sorts. Today, we got our first look at what the retooled film will look like.
We’ve attached the new TV spot and official synopsis below.
‘ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD follows the kidnapping of 16-year-old John Paul Getty III (Charlie Plummer) and the desperate attempt by his devoted mother Gail (Michelle Williams) to convince his billionaire grandfather (Kevin Spacey) to pay the ransom. When Getty Sr. refuses, Gail attempts to sway him as her son’s captors become increasingly volatile and brutal. With her son’s life in the balance, Gail and Getty’s advisor (Mark Wahlberg) become unlikely allies in the race against time that ultimately reveals the true and lasting value of love over money.‘ Via Tristar
