LVRN’s newest signee, Alex Vaughn, has set a release date for her latest release. The PG County native will share her new EP, The Hurtbook, on October 7, 2022.
“I haven’t dropped a body of work in so long. I’m so excited to share this music with you,” she wrote.
“Are you ready?”
The rising singer-songwriter has used the last 18 months to build her name alongside the popular record imprint, LVRN. Working with the music and entertainment entity, Alex Vaughn appeared at Howard University’s Culture Fusion Agency last fall. Just a few months later, she delivered a performance at the Broccoli City Festival and dropped Voice Notes. The three-track EP offered insight into Vaughn’s sound and her journey thus far.
“It’s just my voice, the piano, and my writing. This was me before I had access to studios, producers, and other writers; I just wanted people to know that this is me,” Vaughn told Essence.
“People always come out the gate trying to look polished, but I wanted to show the origin story to the artist that I am right now, and I am not afraid to share it.”
Having brought fans into her world, Alex Vaughn is ready to take the next step as she releases her latest body of work, The Hurtbook. Until then, check out the lead single, “Talkin’,” below.
