Former welterweight champion Adrien Broner has elected to weigh in on the upcoming super fight featuring Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. During a recent interview with Fight Hype, Broner said that he believes that his “brother” Errol Spence Jr. will be able to keep his perfect professional record intact.
“I know Terence very well. I know them both very well, but of course, I’m with my brother Errol,” Broner said.
“His feet [are] better than what people think. He’s more accurate than what people think and he knows how to land his shots. His timing is good. He’s good.”
Not only does Broner believe that Spence Jr.’s footwork will be the difference in this fight, but he also believes that he is a better defensive fighter than Crawford.
“[There’s] not going to be [any] time for boxing and trying to get out the way. He’s going to have to fight. You’re going to have to fight. It’s going to be a war. I see it being a war and I can’t wait until it happens. I’m a fan of both, but I’m closer to Errol,” Broner explained.
“I’m taking Errol to win for sure. No, because Errol’s defense is better than what people think.”
Errol Spence Jr. will have an opportunity to prove Broner to be correct when enters the ring at T-Mobile Arena on July 29, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
