Adrien Broner is expected to return to the ring in February and it appears that he may have found an opponent. The Ohio native is reportedly negotiating a deal to fight Ivan Redkach in February on BLK Prime. At this time, a venue nor a date has been identified.
Broner is a 33-year-old four-division champion with a record of 34-4-1. Despite his lengthy resume, the former champion has hit a rough patch within the last five years. Since July 2017, Broner has amassed a record of 1-2-1. Furthermore, Broner has not completed a fight since February 2021.
Broner’s potential opponent has had similar difficulties. Redkach kicked off his career in 2009 and remained unbeaten until June 2015. Since then, he’s amassed a record of 5-5-1. Similarly, he has not completed a bout until April 2021. He suffered a TKO loss against Regis Prograis on the Jake Paul-Ben Askren undercard.
Broner will be the next fighter to put his talents on display via BLK Prime. This weekend, WBO Welterweight Champion Terence Crawford will defend his title against David Avanesyan in Omaha, Nebraska. The Ohio native will kick off his three-fight deal with the emerging fight platform two months later.
