“It’s been a crazy training camp. I feel good. I’m ready. I can’t wait to put on a show,” Adrien Broner told TMZ days before sharing the ring with Bill Hutchinson.
Broner may not have been explosive in his return to the ring, but he was fairly dominant in his journey to a unanimous decision victory. The Cincinnati native pushed the action from the opening bell and appeared to hurt his opponent to the body, sending him to the ropes toward the middle of the first round. The pace of the action did not continue at the same rate, but the outcome was largely the same. Broner pushed forward through the remainder of the fight, landing power shots to the head repeatedly. Hutchinson was able to find a glimmer of success in the sixth round, but it wasn’t enough in the end.
The bell has sounded! It's Round 1 of #BronerHutchinson.

Broner’s victory in Miami, Florida on Friday is his first in nearly 28 months. At 33 years old, the four-division champion has his sights set on major fights in the future. Recently, his promoter, Don King, said that he’d be interested in setting up his client for a showdown with Ryan Garcia.
“Good luck [Adrien Broner]. Have Don King call me if you want a mega fight at 140,” Garcia’s promoter, Oscar De La Hoya, tweeted on Tuesday.
“I’m very interested in what Oscar said, and I think that he’s reaching out, trying to do something for his fighter. Even though his fighter lost to ‘Tank,’ he still is a wonderful fighter, got a great following. It would be a tremendous match, you know what I mean, so I’m gonna talk to Oscar,” King told Bad Left Hook on Friday.
There are just two minor issues with the proposal. Broner has been vocal about his interest in fighting for a world title in the near future. At the moment, Garcia doesn’t hold a world title within the 140-pound division. Furthermore, Garcia has expressed a continued interest in fighting 140-pound champion Rolando Romero.
In the even that Broner doesn’t fight Garcia later this year, the former world champion hopes to fight 140-pound titleholder Regis Prograis.
“Regis already know. If he’s still got that belt, I’m coming to take it,” he told Fight Hub TV.
“We’re going to make it happen. We’re going to go get Regis.”
Regis Prograis must first take care of business against Danielito Zorilla on June 17 in his hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana. Undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney is also expected to be in attendance as he is reportedly interested in fighting Prograis as well.
