H.E.R is one of the most accomplished artists in today’s generation and she keeps adding to her list of accomplishments. Tonight, she won “Best Original Song” at the 93rd Academy Awards. Celebrating the moment, the accomplished musician thanked her talented collaborators, D’Mile and Tiara Thomas. With this win, she moves one step closer to obtaining the exclusive EGOT list.
The EGOT list is a small collection of artists that have won Emmy Awards, Grammy Awards, Oscars and Tony Awards. To this point, only sixteen people have reached this milestone. Most recently, Alan Menken and John Legend have joined this small group of talented acts. Other acts include Whoopi Goldberg, Mel Brooks and Quincy Jones.
At just 23 years old, H.E.R has won four GRAMMY Awards and an Oscar. She’s got a ways to go, but she’s truly off to a fast start.
