21 Savage is at the top of the game right now. Not did he deliver Savage Mode II with Metro Boomin’ back in 2020, but he’s also linked up with legends like Nas, J. Cole and Pharrell over the last few years. To top it all off, he recently dropped a joint LP with Drake and appears to be headed out on a tour with him as well. All of his hard work has earned him the title of “Best Rapper of 2022” from Complex. Commemorating this honor, the Atlanta native sat down with star journalist Jordan Rose to discuss his plans for the future.
Recent rumors suggest 21 Savage is planning to embark on a world tour with Drake. However, he does not only plant to perform tracks from Her Loss and Savage Mode II during his set. According to the chart-topping artist, he plans to release a new body of work “very, very soon.”
“I just want to drop a good-ass album that everybody loves so it helps solidify me. I want that level-up album,” he said.
Many fans would say that I Am > I Was would serve as his “level-up” project, but it appears that he has other ideas in mind. With the alleged tour set to begin in just a few months, fans may be able to hear new music from 21 Savage before the summer. However, only time will tell.
