Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, sports is one of the aspects of everyday life dramatically affected. With the NBA season currently on hold and the upcoming NFL Draft to be presented remotely by commissioner Roger Goodell, the 2020 WNBA draft is taking a similar format.
The first overall pick in the draft was made by the New York Liberty, and unsurprisingly the selection was college hoops phenom Sabrina Ionescu out of the University of Oregon. Ionescu’s Oregon teammate Satou Sabally was taken with the next pick in the draft, headed to the Dallas Wings.
