Kevin Durant formally made his debut at Oracle Arena last night. Alright, maybe it wasn’t an official debut as a new member of the Golden State Warriors and it was a Team USA exhibition game against China. Still, KD debuted in Oakland at Oracle Arena as a new member of the Warriors.
KD started the night off hot scoring the first 10 points for Team USA. His fellow United States teammates didn’t let him have all the fun though. DeMarcus Cousins led the way with 21 points, 11 boards and Carmelo Anthony scored 20 points, most of which came in the third quarter. Team USA defeated China on Tuesday night in their second meeting of the pre-Olympic exhibitions, 107-57. They beat China on Sunday by 49 points. Good to see some improvement from Team USA as they reach 3-0 in these warm-up games.
Looks like Team USA is in prime gold medal form and they are not holding back on anyone. Coach K might not like how much fun the US national team is having but when he tells his guys to press up 40+ points with under a minute to go, they might not think it’s that serious to try some fun plays.
