While the NBA is entranced by the undefeated Golden State Warriors, LeBron James and his injuries, the floundering Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets, Porzingsanity and the issues going on with the Los Angeles Lakers there’s one man who has been flying under the radar. Paul George has quietly been playing like the best player in the NBA all season long.
George put his talents on display last night in the Indiana Pacers win over the Washington Wizards. He dropped 40 points on 14-19 shooting including 7-8 shooting from three. George also grabbed eight rebounds and handed out four assists.
It appears that playing a small ball four in Indiana’s new system is working out for George. On the season, Paul is averaging 25.9 points per game on 49 percent shooting with 8.4 rebounds per game and 4.8 assists. It might be time to remember how good Paul George is.
